Alcaidesa Heathland is one of the two golf courses situated in Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort that is considered as one of the best Golf Complexes of Andalucía and Costa del Sol region in Spain. Constructed and launched a decade back in 2007, Alcaidesa golf course is nestled in the magnificent surroundings of San Roque and La Linea and faces the exquisite azure skyline of the Coast of Gibraltar.
A plush masterpiece designed by the acclaimed golf course architect Dave Thomas, Alcaidesa golf course features 2 x 18 holes, all pars-72. Situated in the midst of plateaus and highlands, the golf course features a panorama of valleys on one side and alluring views of the Mediterranean on the other.
Alcaidesa Heathland features wide and expansive fairways that tend to elevate, stoop, stretch or expand at various instances and make the golf course a real treat to explore. The first five and the 17th and 18th holes have been placed towards the plateau side on an elevated heathland.
The other golf holes on the rest of the fairways are situated in the valley by the river bed. The off-shoots and tributaries of the river stretch into the fairways at some instances and make some complex natural water hazards on the field.
In addition to that, Alcaidesa Heathland golf course also features some natural and strategically placed bunkers, traps and dunes, across the 6.373mt expanse of the course that adds to the degree of challenges and complexity and makes it an ideal course for a skillful, strategic and unorthodox game of golf.
Alcaidesa Heathland is the younger of the two golf courses and therefore, offer more advanced prizes to the players. Aside from the playing field, Alcaidesa Heathland also features, in the resort a restaurant, lounges, patios, a recreational room for kids, a pro shop and club house and provides an all-inclusive experience to the visitors, players and spectators alike.
