The 7th Edition Tee Times Prestige Tournament is set to deliver an exceptional golfing experience in the Algarve from November 21st to 23rd. Bringing together 60 avid golfers, this fully booked event promises three days of thrilling competition, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments. The journey begins at the breathtaking Laranjal Course, setting the tone for an incredible tournament.

Nestled in Quinta do Lago’s serene Ludo Valley, Laranjal opened in 2009 and quickly garnered recognition, winning Best Golf Course at the 2011 Portuguese Travel Awards. Formerly an orange grove, the course seamlessly blends natural beauty with a challenging layout, offering a unique experience for players of all levels.

This par-72 championship course spans 6,480 meters of expertly designed terrain. It features rolling fairways, five serene lakes, and a lush mix of umbrella pines, cork oaks, and orange trees. Its layout, comprising five par-5s, eight par-4s, and five par-3s, ensures a diverse and engaging round.

Among Laranjal‘s standout holes is the picturesque 9th, a par-5 where water hazards demand precise shots. Equally impressive is the 7th hole, a formidable par-3 stretching 236 meters, one of the longest in Portugal. The course’s Bermuda fairways and Penn A4 greens provide impeccable playability, ensuring smooth rounds regardless of the season.

Laranjal’s design is inclusive, with thoughtfully positioned tees that cater to golfers of all abilities. Ladies, in particular, will appreciate the shorter distances, making the course fair and enjoyable. IAGTO has unveiled its schedule for global golf tourism conventions in 2025, featuring events in Vietnam, Spain, and the United States.The International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) has unveiled its schedule for global golf tourism conventions in 2025, featuring events in Vietnam, Spain, and the United States. These conventions aim to connect golf tour operators, resorts, courses, and tourism boards, fostering collaboration and growth within the industry.

Tee Times Golf Agency participated in the 2024 IAGTO European Convention (IEC) and the North America Golf Tourism Convention (NAC), reinforcing our position as a leader in the golf tourism industry. In addition to our dynamic participation in the Malaga and Michigan events, we showcased our complete golf holiday packages and our ability to connect with key players in the market.

The 11th Asia Golf Tourism Convention (AGTC) will take place in Danang, Vietnam, from April 2 to 4, 2025. AGTC is a key platform for professionals focusing on the Asian golf market, offering networking opportunities and insights into regional trends. Danang, renowned for its picturesque coastline and world-class golf courses, provides an ideal backdrop for this gathering.

Following AGTC, the 3rd IAGTO European Convention (IEC) will be held in Gran Canaria, Spain, from May 19-21, 2025. IEC concentrates on European and African golf destinations, bringing together industry stakeholders to discuss market developments and establish partnerships. Gran Canaria’s diverse landscapes and esteemed golf facilities make it a fitting venue for this convention.

Concluding the series, the 16th North America Golf Tourism Convention (NAC) is scheduled for June 17-19, 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama, USA. NAC emphasises golf tourism within the Americas, providing a platform for suppliers and buyers to engage in meaningful discussions and collaborations. Birmingham, celebrated for its rich cultural heritage and proximity to the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, offers a compelling setting for this event.

Peter Walton, Chief Executive of IAGTO, highlighted the organisation’s commitment to delivering productive and enjoyable conventions catering to golf destinations and outbound markets. He emphasised that each event is tailored to the specific needs of its region, attracting golf tour operators who specialise in those destinations. Walton also noted that appointments at these conventions are scheduled based on mutual agreement, ensuring valuable interactions between buyers and suppliers.

Registration for these conventions has been open to IAGTO members, with over 600 delegates signed up across all three events. This enthusiastic response underscores the industry’s eagerness to engage in these global gatherings. IAGTO continues to play a pivotal role in connecting golf tourism professionals, fostering growth, and promoting collaboration within the industry.

INFINITUM Secures Long-Term Partnership with DP World Tour

According to a recent report by MyGolfWay, INFINITUM, located in Tarragona, Spain, and one of Europe’s premier golf, lifestyle, and real estate destinations, has signed a three-year renewal with the DP World Tour. This agreement ensures that the prestigious Final Stage of Qualifying School will remain at INFINITUM until 2027.

The tournament will be held across the renowned Lakes (designed by golf legend Greg Norman) and Hills (by Alfonso Vidaor) courses. This will make it nine consecutive seasons of hosting this gruelling six-round golf marathon. Notably, the Hills course is set to undergo extensive upgrades as part of a long-term plan to enhance INFINITUM’s golfing facilities. Following a €800,000 renovation of the Lakes course earlier this year, these upgrades will ensure a world-class challenge for the 156 players competing for a coveted DP World Tour card.

This year’s Final Stage kicked off on November 8, with four rounds alternating between the Lakes and Hills courses before the field was cut. The final two rounds were contested solely at Lakes, known for its demanding yet rewarding layout.

In 2025, the initial rounds combined the Ruins and Hills courses, showcasing their versatility while the Hills’ back nine undergoes its transformation. Spearheading this ambitious renovation is European Golf Design, led by Dave Sampson, renowned for his work on Rome’s Marco Simone course, host of the 2023 Ryder Cup.
