In that period, the course has undergone a remarkable transformation, becoming a symbol of excellence for golf holiday tourists in Tenerife. The number of visitors has climbed continuously and has surpassed those from 2022, before the pandemic even began.
Although the club’s initial clientele consisted of English and German speakers, it has lately seen an influx of Central European golfers, including those from the Netherlands, Belgium, and France, as well as Eastern Europeans from the Czech Republic and Slovenia.
The 2003 Spanish Open was a turning point event that solidified the Golf Costa Adeje reputation. The club’s history will never remain comparable due to the participation of renowned national figures like Severiano Ballesteros, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, and Sergio García.
Afterward, 2005, 2008, and 2009 were the years that women’s golf took centre stage at the European Ladies Open, which was hosted by the Ladies European Tour.
Even if the 2020 pandemic presented some obstacles, Golf Costa Adeje not only got back to work, but they were even more determined than before. In 2021, the club hosted the Canary Island Championship in May and the Tenerife Open in April, both of which were European Tour events.
The World Corporate Golf Challenge, a prominent amateur golf competition, has also held its finals at the club for the previous two years.
Some of the most distinguishing features of Golf Costa Adeje are its prime Canary Island location and the reliably pleasant weather that it experiences throughout the year. But its stellar reputation is due in large part to the hard work of its employees and the money it has invested in machines and technology. Golf Costa Adeje is devoted to the future of golf sustainability practise and has made a significant contribution to Tenerife‘s quality tourism via its dedication to continual improvement and the creation of new initiatives within its facilities.
The organisation is devoted to golf’s ecological sustainability since its members are responsible for mitigating human activity’s negative effects on the environment and our finite resources. The creation of an environmental department has led to a recent uptick in activity. Commitments to continual improvement in all areas of sustainability are embraced to strengthen sustainable management. The use of solar energy in machines and buggies, the implementation of an effective irrigation system with clean water, and the adoption of measures like the eradication of plastics are all part of this.
