AlgarveThe tourism shown improvements in the Algarve on October over the same month of 2012 , with the rates of global occupations grow at around 7 % . Also the bussiness increased by 7 % .

According to a statement from AHETA , the overall average occupancy rate / room was 60.9 % , an increase of 7.9% compared to 2012 , while the overall average occupancy rate / bed was 46.9 % plus 7.0% .

In terms of nationalities , the decline in the domestic market ( 20.1 % ) and Spain ( -7.5 % ) .On uphills, to emphasize the issuer German ( 57.7 % ) , British ( 1.4% ) , and French ( +31.7 % ) .

Portimão / Praia da Rocha ( +14.0 % ) , Lagos / Sagres ( +12.7 % ) and Vila Real de Santo António / Monte Gordo ( +9.6 % ) were the regions with the largest increase in occupancy rates . Vilamoura / Quarteira / Quinta do Lago ( 66.8 % ) had the highest average occupancy , followed by the Albufeira area ( 65.6 % ) .

In terms of categories , ” the tourist villages and apartments of 3 stars ( +11.6 % ) were the ones with the biggest rise in occupations , followed by the hotels and apartment 3 stars ( +10.3 % ) . Hotels and apartment hotels 3 stars were also those who had the highest occupancy ( 63.8 % ) . The 2 stars showed the lowest ( 55.1 %). “

Dyson refuses to play in Turkey to prepare his defense

Simon DysonContinues the saga between Simon Dyson and the European Tour. The  English man, a regular presence at Portugal Masters, has announced his non-attendance from the third and penultimate event of the final series , the Turkish Airlines Open, waiting for the Tour to make a decision by the action irregular committed on the 8th hole during the second round of the BMW Masters. That way he will focus on preparing his defense that presumably will be the end of the month.

Simon Dyson Momment of dequalificationdescalificadoSimon Dyson was disqualified for seven days touching the line between his brand and the hole with the ball . This offense is punishable by two-stroke penalty not reflected on Dyson’s  card so it was disqualified for signing a wrong card .
After carefully reviewing the action performed by the player, the Tour has been understood to be a serious breach of the rules. Dyson is facing a possible sanction ranging from a simple warning or a fine to expulsion from the European Tour.

Ernie Els will not be in Dubai

South african champion , Ernie Els , has announced that it will not be in the final of the Race to Dubai European Tour disagreeing with forcing to play two of the three tournaments of the Final Series to be on this end .

The winner of four classifies this rule as “absurd ” and will have to check his calendar. A calendar that since 1994 alternates with the PGA Tour and the European Tour .

” It is absurd . In my opinion it is a big joke, “said Ernie Els for Reuters . “I do not think they worry too much ,” he replied when asked how the Tour might react to his decision.

“I understand the decision from the point of view of the Tour. I’ve been playing the two circuits since 1994 and there has been no problem, but for some reason now they want us to play a full schedule . We used to play seven events and we kept the card. Now they want us to play more than in the U.S. , I think they are going down the wrong path , “he added .

” I’ll have to check my calendar , I tried to help in the growth of the European Tour but they made it practically impossible to play on it . Now we have to make a decision that we would never want. “
