There are always plenty of interesting events happening in the Algarve as it is steeped in history and culture with só much to discover. Whether your preference is art, theatre, gastronomy, music, history or dance there is something for everyone.

The Luza festival will be taking place in November, Loule will be lit up and a Torch Light Parade takes place, national and international artists will display their work in theAlgarve International Festival of Light. Everyone can interact with and enjoy the works on display throughout the city.

Loule will also host Algarve Unveiled in November, an exciting journey through the Algarve’s various historical periods, in a highly interactive experience conveyed through visual effects and narrative language. Celebrated at the end with regional wine and honey tasting.

For those who want to combine dinner and dancing there is an event in Aliezur where the sweet potato is the star of the night. Its gastronomic qualities shine through in multiple recipes that originate from various places in Africa, complemented by 4 nights of dancing. Also in Aliezur Lullabies of the World will be performed in December, a musical moment of poetry with activities and songs about the first steps and endeavours of life. Songs passed down from mother to son.
