Pinheiros Altos Quinta do Lago, Algarve

Pinheiros Altos Golf Course offers 27 holes divided on 3 times 9 holes golf courses : The Corks, the Pines and the Olives. Olives and Pines, golf courses each presenting different characteristics. The Olives are the old back nine and are more flat, the wind has greater influence and have some holes where the water element comes in to play. The eighth hole, island par 3, is a good choice for nearest the pin, and is also the golf courses signature hole. Pines, the original front nine, where 4 new holes have been integrated and as its name indicates presents a more parkland course, plenty of pine trees, elevations, dog legs and also 3 lakes that protect 3 very tempting greens. The 4th a short par 5, the 5th a long par 4, stroke 1 and the 6th a par 5 reachable in 2 if you had a good tee shot. Signature hole, again a beautiful Par 3 over a valley to a McKenzie green. A great golf course, very demanding and if you succeed to finish with 36 points on stabelford you probably have played your best golf. Pinheiros Altos Corks Course is the longer and more demanding of the three nine holes. Starting right on the first tee. A narrow line for a dog leg fairway. The eighth hole, is the most difficult Par 5 in the Algarve, a double dog leg of 580 yards and a narrow gap, 120 mt before a elevated green well protected by bunkers. The Corks Golf Course is also a mixture of the original 4 holes and 5 new holes with spectacular views of the Ludo valley and the Goldra hills beyond.  (...)

San Lorenzo Golf Course Quinta do Lago, Algarve

Due to a fire that happened in the clubhouse in the Summer of 2023, the golf course is currently operating with temporary facilities. The Tees, fairways and greens remain undamaged and in excellent condition. - Food and beverages are exclusive to the buggy bar. - Temporary restroom facilities remain available throughout the premises. San Lourenco is a par 72 golf course located in Quinta do Lago and is considered one of the best and most beautiful golf courses in Europe. The fact that this is an award-winning golf course is no coincidence. Bordering with the breathtaking Ria Formosa Natural Park, some of its golf holes are blessed with what can only be described as exquisite beauty. If the first holes of San Lourenco golf course present no major surprise or challenges, after the 3rd, closer to the estuary, San Lourenco golf course starts to reveal itself. After the 5th hole, a par-3 and the course's shortest, you're introduced to a dogleg, stroke 1 sixth hole where your main challenge will be to avoid the dense shrub, so make sure you get your distances just right. As you get to the 7th, life is by no chance made easier but you still get the bonus of the outstanding views from this elevated tee before you have to focus on how to get around that green almost entirely surrounded by water. On the back nine, the 12th is the most challenging hole on San Lourenco, featuring a deep chasm along the left of a very narrow fairway. Holes 13th to 16th also face the ocean with the latter proving to be the most demanding par-3, featuring a whole 180 m carry to a shallow green. Seventeenth is, again, extremely beautiful but still falls short of the beauty that awaits you on the last hole. It is a great finale and one that will remain in your memory as it has an excellence that is renowned worldwide. It is, without a doubt, a course for special occasions, that will provide you with unforgettable beautiful moments. Vale do Lobo Ocean golf course is a par 73 and presents itself with some of most spectacular views, on any golf course in Algarve. The front and back nine had some of the nicest layouts of an Algarve golf course. A long opening hole, then followed by the introduction of water required careful plotting. A fantastic golf hole awaits you on the 9th with a sequence of waterfalls flowing from the left of the green along side of the fairway. Back nine runs back and forth to the Ocean and marvelous white sandy beaches, part of Vale do Lobo golf resort. Vale do Lobo Royal Golf Course is a beautiful par 72 championship golf course. The 6th hole, a par 4, is Roayal golf course's stroke 1, displaying a fairway bunker which you'll have to avoid by driving to the right. Laying up and relying on your short game to achieve par will be your best option when it comes to hitting that difficult second shot, to a green procted by water on is front- left side and a bunker behind. the 9th is quite a beautiful golf hole, scenic par 3, almost completely surrounded by water, make sure your tee shot lands softly.13th, another great golf hole par 4,hcp 2, with a elevated green surrounded by bunkers, deserve some respect. A long straight drive is needed, and the elevated green demands your best skills. Hole 16 will make you feel blessed for the scenery in front of you; you'll want to take a minute to enjoy the amazing view across the beautiful Vale do Lobo beach and then you get ready to take on obstacles such as the ravine and a big bunker to the green.
