The course was generally in good condition, the greens has been recently spiked and were a bit slow as a result. The course Is very tight in places but quite short, so not unplayable but it is a tough challenge in places. Some of the greens are very tough to hit, with unforgiving surrounds. Not my personal favourite layout but still enjoyable. Disappointing that the kitchen was closed for the day. Not sure if that is a one off or regular, but was expecting lunch at the club and had to go elsewhere.

We came with good expectations after four days of no rain and were very disappointed to find that fairways were not cut and we are playing like in semi rough on first nine and then hole 16 and 18 on second nine. This should not be offered on a course of this standard, no roll and sometimes problem to find your ball on fairway. Greens are fine.

Really friendly in reception and the starter went out of his way to be helpful. The course was in good condition, the best greens we played on all week. The waiter who dealt with us after our round was vey friendly. Pace of play was fine. In respect of Palmares on the Thursday, we were paired with a couple who took at least 20 shots to get to every green and then insisted on putting out ! The manager at Palmares failed to show after my complaint the day before, the course bunkers still had not been maintained and the washed out sand damage by the rain was still evident. How they maintain there No 2 rating in the Algarve is baffling. Alto was the complete opposite .

Check in was nice and easy and the clubhouse restaurant staff were friendly and quick. The course looked busy when we arrived for a 2.30p.m tee-off and so it proved to be once we set off round the course. The course itself was in good condition but it was too packed and inevitably we were held up and the delays increased as we played through the back 9. This was a real shame as we enjoyed the course which is quite challenging but also rewarding. Some marshalls on the course would have been useful. Other than that we'd still like to return there one day!

The course was in very good ondition, an attractive but shortish layout. My only criticism was that us as a two ball got stuck behind a four ball for the last seven holes do progress was painfully slow.There was no marshalls going around to Dodd play up. A map of the 18 hole layout on the scorecard would be helpful, more so at the other Pestaba golf courses in the area rather than Altos.

A very very busy course that did not seem to have a Marshall monitoring the slow play. We had a tee time of 2.15 and would not have finished before dark. However we walked off after 6 holes as there was a huge queue in front of us for the nest tee.

I really liked Altos golf course and found it a fair challenge and in good condition, however some members of our group struggled with the course and found it difficult.

Enjoyed game. Very slow play - took almost 5 hours. We arrived early for our booked tee time of 10.21am, however on arrival we were told by the starter our tee time was 10.48am. We did actually get out at 10.30am because we were a two ball and would have been sandwiched between two four balls. Course condition good.

Friendly, helpful staff and had no difficulty with anything with regards to the golf. I though the cost for this course to be a bit high. Will not be likely to play it again.

Only down side is the cost of the buggies. Very expensive and as we were playing 5 rounds in a row we needed to hire every day. Added 225€ to our week!

Rained heavily all day and we had to stop after 7 holes as the course was unplayable, course should have been closed but wasn't. After much discussion, they did give us vouchers for buggies the next day which was positive at least.
