Hi, service was again excellent. In comparison with November 2025 the course was well but not as well maintained. Especially bunkers not raked and teeboxes with a midday teetime worn out. practice area show the intense usage. But - all in all a great experience

Simply stunning golf course. Imagine inserting 18 of the best looking golf holes you can picture in a natural landscape of pine trees and hills and edge those holes with a sandy waste land ready to challenge (but not destroy) your round in an environment where the only sounds are of golf being played or people announcing their amazement as each hole is presented from the next tee box. No road noise, no cars, no major building noises (well just about none). The practice areas…..fantastic. The customer service….spot on.
The fairways aren’t quite perfect as they have a battle with bacteria blown in on the breeze from the nearby Atlantic, but I’ve no doubt they’ll solve this quickly. The greens cannot be faulted and even the most wayward golfer has a chance of finding them in regulation as they are generally all enormous……but don’t expect any easy two putts. The subtle slopes and size of the greens makes 3 putting a distinct possibility…..4 putts are not unknown.
This place will get busier, this place will get even better and (unfortunately) this place will become even more exclusive (£££). If you love your golf…..this is “bucket list”. Play it. You won’t regret it.

A wonderful golfing experience. The course design at Dunas is fantastic and well worth its ranking. The customer service is excellent and very much added to the enjoyment of our round. The only slight disappointment was the conditioning. We recognise that the summer months of 2026 presented some challenges for course maintenance, but the turf quality on the greens and fairways does need to be brought up to the standard of the design and the facilities.

Dunas was a joy to play, grass was fescue more in keeping with the UK. A few areas looked a bit tired with some scruffy lies but green staff appear to be dealing with.
Again greens were true and a good pace. Lots of sand waste lands slightly prettier than Torre but both worth playing plenty of tees to choose from. Clubhouse and practice facilities were excellent and staff helpful and attentive.

Incredible experience in a breathtaking location. Some parts of the fairways were a bit below the standard expected for such a premium course but all in all, for the experience and beauty, this is still an incredible experience and I plan to come back.

What a wonderful experience, which lived up to our highest of expectations. This was the first time we have played at Dunas, but it will not be our last. The course was beautifully presented and is a seriously good and enjoyable test of golf. Greens were slick and true.
The whole experience from the moment we arrived until we left was outstanding. The welcome was superb and nothing was too much trouble. Everything was beautifully presented, the burger at lunch was excellent and the general customer service was impeccable. All the staff/team had smiles on their respective faces. Practice facilities were to a high standard.

We found Dunas Comporta to be exceptional. The tees, fairways, and greens were in perfect condition. The course layout is fantastic. The course is very undulating, with holes that are somewhat similar but never repetitive. It’s enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels, with six different tee boxes. During our visit, the course was not very busy; we felt like we were alone all day, as the fairways are isolated from one another with two exceptions.
Since nothing is perfect, there are two things they could improve: the quality of the sand around the greens and the speed of the greens.
The welcome is friendly, polite, and warm; we were greeted as soon as we arrived in the parking lot and guided to the clubhouse.

Played on 17 October. Wow what a stunning set up. The practice facilities are set up as if it’s a tour event. Pyramids of new Dunas inscribed balls surround the practice areas and the facilities are simply as good as anywhere I’ve played in the last 40 or so years. We played off the longer tees (62) for the experience but would play off 57 when we come back (and we certainly will) next time. The holes are bordered by wasteland bunkers but each looks like it was placed there rather than forced in to the land itself. Narrower than Torre up the road but the greens are large and like playing on carpet. I can see this course getting many awards and major comps. Play it, you won’t be disappointed.

We played Dunas almost one year ago and returned as the course layout, conditions and whole experience was excellent. Sadly, this time in late Sept the fairways were in poor condition (different types or patches of grass and too wet) as were many of the tees but the greens were very good.
Overall, glad we returned for the super layout and experience but some of the conditions will need to improve if they expect to maintain high green fees.

Dunas Terras da Comporta is not just a round of golf, it's a golf experience. When you drive up to the entrance, you are greeted by a friendly member of staff who checks your tee time. Then it's a lovely drive through the trees with the odd view of some of the amazing holes. On arriving at the car park, you are greeted by another member of staff in your buggy. A quick drive to the temporary clubhouse that could grace many of the courses I've played. The practice facilities are just in front of the clubhouse and are second to none. Registration is in the small pro shop. Again, the staff were extremely friendly. The course was fantastic. Every hole is very different. My favorite was the 13th, a downhill par 4 with an amazing view. This is a course you must play if you are going to Portugal for golf.

Friendly and welcome staff, great course in excellent conditions. Good practice and warm-up facility. Holes are not as easy to remember, as all are somehow the same, lot of sandy waste areas framing the fairway left and right and couple of strategically placed bunkers in landing zones. Play as soon as you can if you want to enjoy it in natural and quiet state in the midst of coastal pine forrest, as major residential construction already started around the course.

A must play for any golfer but from tee 62, it’s 6800 yards and carry can be 240 on one or two holes.

Truly a fantastic experience and course. Condition is immaculate and it is so quiet it is likely playing your own private club. Just make sure you pick the right tees for you (don't be over ambitious) as there is no run on fairways and many play to up slope landing areas. Play here before they build all the homes and it gets packed!!

Outstanding golf course. Excellent service from the staff. Very deserving of the positive hype they are getting from mainstream and social media. I had organized a group of 24 and all were of the same opinion, that its the best golfing experience and course they had played in Portugal.

A fabulous course setting and layout! Every hole has wonderful definition with lush green fairways meandering through the dunes and lined by mature pine trees. The trees are not really in play as they are far enough back from the fairways and greens so the main challenge is from the desert wasteland and numerous bunkers strategically located on every hole so accuracy and knowing the distances of your tee shots are key to avoid the penalty areas. The greens are very large so hitting them from the fairway wasn't too difficult - getting close to the pins and avoiding 3 putts was the tricky part. Dunas da Comporta did not play like a links course but this may be because the turf is still very new and not fully bedded in.
Sadly, we didn't have time to enjoy the clubhouse facilities or driving range but, from the little we saw, they looked first class and the (young) staff were very welcoming, polite and friendly.
While the green fees at Dunas da Comporta are not cheap - in fact the most we have ever paid to play anywhere in Portugal, Spain, the US or the UK - this is a special golf course and worth playing once if you're in the Lisbon area or even driving up from the Algarve. Enjoy!
