Lauro Golf course near Malaga, Spain is a 27 hole golf course. In Lauro Golf the nature is everywhere. Within the whole complex the direct contact with the nature is constant. You can often see rabbits, ducks, partridges, herons and even eagles on and around the golf course, the friendly neighbours are enjoying the micro-climate of the golf course created by the thousands of trees and the fourteen lakes of the golf course.
Lauro golf course was designed by the late Folco Nardi and the idea was to create a golf course that was technically challenging yet not too difficult.
The extension of the golf course with the holes 19-27 designed by Mariano Benitez follows the same lines and equally requires concentration and skills. Lauro golf course is moderately flat and can be played by foot though there are two holes located on the side of the mountain and from which players can enjoy some spectacular views over the valley of Guadalhorce and the Mediterranean.

Decent course, very chaotic at times due to fairways on top of each other. Lots of shouting of fore.
Greens were fast and challenging.

Decent resort course. Back 9 (19-27) has a number of similar holes up one way, back the other. Enjoyed but there are better courses in the area.

Our first time at Lauro and first impressions are great when you walk into the courtyard setting for the pro shop, bar and restaurant terraces. It’s a serine area to relax and have a drink. The people in the pro shop and bar are all very friendly, as was the Marshall (more of him later). There are 3 x 9 holes and we were allocated 10-27, we understand that 1-18 is probably the favoured combination but we were happy enough. The course is relatively tight and fairly long if you attempt it of the white tees, 6078m and they were placed right at the back, which is unusual but nice to see. The tees, fairways and greens were all in decent condition & although we waited on every shot behind a very slow fourball for 4 holes (seems to be our luck this trip!), the Marshall came to the rescue & made them let us play through. We then had a lovely relaxing remainder of the round enjoying the views of the Mijas mountains as we played. Overall a very enjoyable 4 hours, thanks to a Marshall who actually does something about slow play, a rarity these days!

We played 19/27 and 1/9 the course is great, conditions were perfect, greens were quite fast (at least for me !). The best of the courses we played that time. People at the pro shop were very friendly and smiling. If only a small thing negative to be said is the number of FOOORRE we heard on holes 19 to 24 due to close faiways. Definitly a must play golf.

A lovely round of golf on a relatively straightforward course although some holes are rather long. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the course was well maintained and in good condition. The golf bar had an extensive and reasonably priced menu and the meal we had was delicious. Would definitely go back again. The environment up in the hills is lovely with some excellent views too.

First few holes not great but the course improved after the silly par 3 third. an excellent test after that and the food afterwards is top class.
