A great course if your looking to book for a large group. The facilities are excellent including the range, chipping and putting greens. The layout of the course is good and for a large group of varying handicaps the old course is a good fit. Good golfers will hit low scores and the average golfer will enjoy the course as not as hard as some in the area. Bar menu is limited, but the benefit is if you are a resident of the resort. We weren't, so seemed a little pricey compared to other courses we played. But overall a good experience.

As a 4 ball with indeed a combined age of 280 but with average bogey handicap indices (18) we had a delightful round at Salobre Old Course. The setting is magnificent, with panoramic views of the mountains and distant sea. The staff were friendly. The fairways and greens were in great shape, though the spongy nature of the grass meant little roll and it was essential for chip shots to land on the green as anything short would simply die. Plenty of bump and runs! We had the good fortune to play in lovely weather, with nobody holding us up in front or pushing from behind, and coming a day after the exceedingly difficult Anfi Tauro this course was something of a relief. There were a few glitches. The score card, bizarrely, has been printed with incorrect par values. It was obvious from the outset, from the (correct) signage at the hole and in satnav watches and the buggy but it would have been helpful to have been alerted to this fact. Some direction signs were misleading, eg on the third where the sign said carts should go right when another, on the left, said “ This way” ! But these were minor distractions in what was otherwise a tremendous day’s golf.

Height differences throughout the whole course; just a few bunkers. Most holes are sloping to the right or the left. Greens in very good condition. The same goes for the fairways. At some t-shots one has to cross bushes and trees. Al in al a very interesting course to play. We enjoyed it very much. The restaurant opens at 12.00. Very good service.

Really liked the course with a nice variety of holes. Some good par threes with elevated tees. Pace of play was very good and course not too busy. Starter and Pro Shop staff were really helpful and friendly. Only things missing is a bar area close to the course rather than using the hotel facilities. A fun course!

Exciting and nice course where it is important to stay on the fairway. The golf course is surrounded by rocks and ravines, so if you are next to the course, the ball is lost

Buggy recommended, first tee a long way from the Pro Shop and 2 players in our 4 ball walked - they hit the wall about the 15 hole. There were some good holes but the course was softer than expected which made it play longer and the rough is rocky ground or waste land. Greens were true and fast. Restaurant excellent. The pace of play was horrendous, and no marshal in sight. As groups are supposed to start in 8 minute intervals, there is already a delay on 1st tee. We started 25 minutes behind our time, and had to wait on every hole, summing up to a round of 5:45 hours. This course is simply not made for 8 minute intervals, as almost no course on earth is. With the yellow tees placed in the blue or red tee boxes on every second hole, ironically the course was made artificially easy on paper, still not playable in 8-minute-intervals. Short, easy and slow - the worst combination possible.

I don't think Salobre Golf course is good enough in my opinion. Poor layout and not in as good condition for a course which charges the same as Anfi Tauro, Meloneras and Real Club. Salobre is not a course we will play again. The other 3 courses were very good.

Salobre Old is, as always, a golfing challenge. The hilly terrain takes its toll and sometimes swallows a ball or two. The course was in good condition at the end of November. Greens rather fast.

Golf course in mediocre condition. Pace of play 5,5 hs - for more than 15 holes we had often enough 2 or 3 flights of 4:waiting. Complaint to office and request for marshal did no effect. Course has potential.

Registration went really smoothly. The course was surprisingly really wet in some places (example hole 1). There were also some places under repair. Unfortunately, the round lasted five hours. Views are stunning. Challenging course.

A scenic golf course with an interesting layout. Long distances between holes and aerification of the Bermuda Grass Fairways made the course difficult to play. One par three on the second nine is dangerous over a barranco- if you have fear of height use the ladies tee ????

Upon arrival the caddiemaster told me I could start a bit earlier as well. He was surprised I wanted to walk with a bag on the shoulders, so he told me to grab the water bottles and scorecard from the buggy which was prepped already. What a wonderful course, in great condition. I thoroughly enjoyed my round but after hole 16 understood the surprise of me walking, as it was pretty tough indeed with the hills going up and down every hole. I can highly recommend this course to everyone in Gran Canaria!
