Santana Golf Club
Santana golf course is a poplular course in the Fuengirola area. The golf course has breathtaking views of the Mijas mountains, close to the Mediterranean sea. The golf course is set in a former avocado plantation which provided a natural solution to many problems. The final result is a magnificent golf course with wide and well defined fairways on level terrain, hence easily walkable, where water features play an important albeit not excessive part in the overall design.

In comparison to other close by golf courses Santana is relatively flat. I enjoyed the large number of parrots/parakeets on one side of the course and the large number of avocado trees on the other side of the course. Quality of the course is good. When I played only the bunkers were rockhard. Also enjoyed the food and the wine in the clubhouse.

Beautifull scenery. Very well maintained course. Reception is very friendly and flexible. Due to family circumstances I had to catch an earlier flight. Santana golf rescheduled our flight and let ua start before all other regurlar flight. People in the restaurant are also very friendly and in for a joke. Shower are lading comfort and need regurbiishment.

Course in lovely condition, shot 75 so was happy and staff were excellent. Reason for 9 rather than 10 rating down to one problem, slow play. Teed off 08:50 and still took 4 1/2 hours due to 08:40 four-ball loosing 2 holes, we waited on every shot! There were Marshalls out there but clearly not being firm enough.
