The South course is the oldest course of the Gualdalmina complex. It is renowned for its difficulty, thus making it more suitable for experienced players. Fairways are narrow and well protected by old trees requiring straight shots.
Located in the Costa del Sol, the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina has installed photovoltaic panels to generate solar energy, maintaining its commitment to sustainability and the environment. For this, solar panels have been put in the clubhouse's parking marquees and buggy hangar.
The return on investment for these new systems will be less than a year and a half, and the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina will be able to cut its dependence on the grid for electricity by about 60% once they are operational.
According to Real Club de Golf Guadalmina president Manuel Muñoz Navarro, this project joins others that the club has previously launched, such as the replacement of the buggy fleet and the old lead batteries, the renewal of obsolete maintenance machines, or the improvement of the irrigation system of the North Course.
“All these actions tend to improve the efficiency of the equipment and systems, contributing to the reduction of the carbon footprint, as will also be the 'Zero Plastic' program that we have recently started”, adds Muñoz Navarro.

Nice course, quality of greens and fairways was very good. We have paid 100 EUR pp, this was not the good value, 75 EUR would be a better price compared with a other courses at Costa del sol.
