La Estancia Golf course was designated before as Melia Sanct Petri. The course was designed by the Dutch architect Alan Rijks and is his first work in Spain. The integration of the links with the protected natural parkland makes it a beautiful and entertaining Par 72 golf course.The hazards and watery chalenges are four brooks and three lakes. The hole 9 has one of the lakes just before the green that will make it a very interesting barrier to cross over. The other lake threatens a little on the right hand side of hole 4 and hole 15. Perhaps the brooks that cross the course come into play more often; one of them affecting holes 1 and 18, and the other, in particular, holes 4, 15, 16 and 17.However, it is the wind and sea breeze that are the main factors to bear in mind when playing at Golf La Estancia, as its close proximity to the sea will affect your game and your club selection on the big greens and also with steep slopes which force you to pay special attention to your putter. Real Novo Sancti Petri - Pines & Sea. The first masterpiece of the legendary Seve Ballesteros, it has hosted several PGA events. The first nine holes are characterised by expansive fairways interspersed with palm trees, pine trees and various water hazards. The famous sixth green offers stunning views of the coastline of La Barrosa, and the last nine is played through a complex series of pine forests, making approach shots to the greens difficult. This is a difficult golf course, par 71 from the yellow tees and par 72 from the lady’s tee, which complements its setting beautifully. The sea and beach views add to the appeal of playing this golf course. Real Novo Sancti Petri is an enjoyable golf course, regardless of golfer’s skill level. Novo Sancti Petri ''Center'' golf course. Learn more about the golf course where Seve Ballesteros made his mark. The fairways of this golf course are flanked with pine and cork oak woods. From holes 5 to 13, the design of the 2001 course can be observed; from hole 10 onwards, the course extends over the cliff and offers panoramic ocean vistas. At holes 5 and 8 on the front nine and holes 14 and 16 on the back nine, water hazards come into play. Between these two sets of holes, many believe the 11th to have the best sea view of the entire resort, as the green requires a very perfect approach shot. Severiano Ballesteros has inscribed his name on six par-threes, six par-fours, and six par-fives, as well as an S-shaped bunker on the 18th hole. (...)
